Michigan’s Council of Library Directors collaborated to put 362 county histories and atlases, published before 1923, online. You can browse through the collections or search for a word anywhere, using simple, proximity and Boolean searches.

This is produced by a nonprofit organization. It provides online access to nearly 2.5 million pages of works published in Canada up to the early 20th century. You can browse the collections or search it using advanced options, such as phrase and proximity searching.
Access to many materials is limited to CanadianaPlus cubscribers. An individual annual Subscription for Canadians costs $400 cdn. For subscribers outside Canada, the cost is $530 cdn.

This is a new site that has just begun to accept information and is looking for volunteers. It will cover cemeteries in Northern Ontario and the Northwest Territory.
The next meeting of the SCR Genealogy group will be November 7 at 1:00 pm in the Cedar Room. Our guest speaker will be Jeanne Mitchell who will discuss “Putting Together a Family History book(s).” Jeanne has developed her own personal family history books using the computer and will share her experiences doing it. If you have written and published your family history, bring a copy(ies) for all to see.
HOLIDAY LUNCHEON: The Holiday Luncheon will be held on Wednesday December 12 in the Solarium. The menu choices are Cobb salad, Open faced salmon sandwich, or Cappelini Pomodoro (no meat pasta). Cost is $10 for members/$14 for guests.
Price includes choice of French fires, fresh fruit or side salad, beverages (coffee, tea, soda).
